- Perform a reconnaissance of the property.
- Review standard historical information sources, as defined by the ASTM E1527 standard.
- Review databases of publicly available records.
- Conduct interviews with regulatory personnel knowledgeable about the site.
- Review historical groundwater quality records from the nearby solid waste facilities.
- Review soil survey data available from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
- Soil Conservation Service in addition to flood zone and wetlands maps.
- Prepare a Phase I ESA report.
