As a component part of property-transaction activities, Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments, followed by further assessment and remedial activities, were performed at a hotel, machine shop, bus station, and former dry cleaner within downtown Orlando's Brownfield area. |
| Scope: |
- Conduct Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments.
- Diesel fuel contamination was confirmed at the bus station, prompting:
- Performance of a Site Assessment;
- Preparation of a Remedial Action Plan; and
- Site remediation, including pump-and-treat and multiphase extraction.
- The discharge of petroleum from a UST was discovered at the machine shop, which prompted:
- Site Assessment investigations; and
- Source removal activities, including soil excavation and pit water pumping.
- Asbestos containing materials (ACM) within the hotel were identified and abated.
- Chemical analytical testing at the former dry cleaner indicated no impact to groundwater.
- All impacts to soil and groundwater quality were successfully remediated.
- Site Rehabilitation Completion Order received from Florida Department of Environmental Protection.
