Prepare SPCC Plan and SWPPP for facility compliance with FDEP-NPDES rules. |
| Scope: |
SPCC Plan preparation consisted of the following tasks:
- Review of historical spills, discharges, corrective actions taken, and plans for preventing reoccurrence.
- Identification of maximum volume of potential discharge, discharge flow rate, and outfall locations for a spill.
- Identification of containment, diversionary structures, and equipment on-site to prevent discharges from reaching navigable waters of the United States and determine their practicality and functionality.
- Identification of current spill prevention procedures, equipment, and manpower to prevent spills from reaching navigable water of the United States.
- Review of facility spill potential, drainage, bulk storage containers and areas, bulk transfer operations, inspection and records, security, and personnel training.
- Development of current spill prevention procedures.
SWPPP preparation consisted of the following tasks:
- Identification of SWPPP Team.
- Assessment of site drainage characteristics.
- Development of Best Management Practices (BMPs) to mitigate surface water impacts.
- Development of plan implementation schedule and records.
- Development of plan evaluation, documentation, monitoring, and maintenance.
- General requirements, certification and reporting.
- Notice of Intent filing.
