Client required Pre-Demolition NESHAP Asbestos Survey at 14 buildings and air quality monitoring during demolition activities. |
| Scope: |
- Conduct visual inspection of 14 specified buildings.
- Collect 140 bulk samples and analyze via Polarized Light Microscopy (PLM) in accordance with EPA OSHA published guidelines.
- Conduct air quality monitoring on a weekly basis to ensure abatement contractor compliance with 29 CFR 1910.1001 and 1915.1001, Appendixes A and B.
- 180,000 square feet of Category II Asbestos-Containing corrugated, cementitious, Transite-type roof and wall panels identified on site.
- Minor quantities of asbestos-containing wall shingles (Category II) and floor tiles (Category I) also found to contain chrysotile asbestos.
- Air monitoring indicated no detectable asbestos fibers and compliance with applicable regulations.
