Engineering Efficient Recycling Facilities
No doubt about it—our current landfills are close to capacity and we are quickly running out of locations for new landfills. Add to that the cost of hauling waste over long distances, and recycling facilities become the key component to any area's waste management solution.
As environmental engineers, we place a high value on materials recovery and recycling. And as Florida residents with our own families, we want to ensure the work we do for our clients benefits both the environment and our local communities.
For all of these reasons, at HSA Golden we have become experts in the permitting and designing of recycling and composting facilities. Additionally we have consulted with recycling facilities to increase their efficiency and recycling capacity as well as to improve their ability to separate out valuable recyclables. We have also been instrumental in designing recycling capabilities into new transfer stations.
While we're proud of the strides we've made in the area of materials recovery and recycling, we want to do more and therefore have begun an initiative to help recycling facility clients find markets for the materials they recycle.
